Note that these policies do not include all policies of Camp Greystone but, rather, are summaries of some of the Camp’s current policies of which all applicants should be aware. If selected for employment by Camp Greystone, you are expected and required to comply with the Camp’s policies.

- Smoking: There is NO SMOKING (including, without limitation, “vaping” or use of other tobacco products or products that emulate smoking) allowed on Greystone property or while staff members are engaged in any work or business on behalf of Greystone, even while off of Greystone property.

- Alcoholic Beverages: Staff members are not permitted to possess, drink, or otherwise be under the influence of alcohol in any amount either on Greystone property or while engaged in any work or business on behalf of Greystone, even while off of Greystone property.

- Drugs: Staff members are not permitted to possess nor be under the influence of illegal drugs on or in Greystone property, while on Greystone working time, or while the staff member is otherwise engaged in business or activities on behalf of Greystone.

- Social Media Policy: All staff members are required to comply with Greystone’s policies and procedures, including its Social Media policy, which encourages staff to use good judgment when communicating via social media. “Social media” includes all means of communicating or posting information or content of any sort on the Internet, including to your own or someone else’s web log or blog, journal or diary, personal website, social networking or affinity website, web bulletin board or a chat room, whether or not associated or affiliated with the Camp, as well as any other form of electronic communication. Any of your conduct on social media that adversely affects your job performance, the performance of fellow staff members, or that otherwise adversely affects campers, vendors, suppliers, or others who work on behalf of the Camp, or its legitimate business interests, may result in disciplinary action up to and including immediate discharge.

- Personal Conduct: A staff person's conduct should always be kind, considerate, thoughtful, and compassionate. Attitudes should always be positive, as this atmosphere is important to the spirit of Camp. This conduct should also carry over into your activities outside of Camp.

- Dress Code: Greystone staff needs to adhere to the staff dress code while working at camp and during time off on the camp property.

- Food and Diet Issues: Being a staff member at Camp requires that you set a good example for the campers in what you say and what you do. In an effort to be supportive of and encourage campers to maintain good health while at Camp, and to encourage the Campers to try different things, with regard to the food that we serve you must set a good example in what you eat and in the way you talk about the Camp food. Camp Staff is required to provide this support and encouragement by eating what is served in our Dining Hall (please note: we do have many options available, including options for individuals with different allergies and for vegetarians). The Camp environment also requires a lot of you! As you work in your department area and around children, you will need to eat plenty of food to have the energy to do this job. If you are concerned about food issues or about your ability to comply with this policy, we ask that you contact us before the summer; we can better explain how the food works at Camp and will try our best to set you up to be successful in the Camp environment. Of course, the Camp provides reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities under the ADA.
